The family at Woolamai, Phillip Island, wanted to upgrade their home to include solar hot water, solar power and LED lights. Ausnet restricted the size of the solar installation to under 4.6kWp, so we designed a 4.5kWp solar pv system comprising of 18 x 250W Phono Solar panels coupled with the Schneider Conect RL5000E grid connected inverter.
Solar Power Installation

Solar Design and Performance
The 4.5kWp solar power system was designed to generate 5849kWh per year, with a daily average of 16.02kWh per day, creating electricity savings of approximately $1223 per year based on a balanced import export ratio. The summer average of the solar power system is expected to range at 22kWh per day while the winter aveage is expected to range around 9kWh per day. Overall, this system will generate savings of over $50,000 during the warranty period of the panels and reduce CO2 emissions by over 7 tonnes per year.
