Case Study, Gippsland Solar Power System, 4.59kWp Q Cells Enphase
This 4.59kWp Q Cells solar panel and Enphase micro inverter solar energy system, was installed to complete a holistic energy and water system which included water tanks and perma culture farming. The Gippsland solar power system utilized 18 panels of which 10 solar panels were installed on a 30 degree tilt frame facing true north, and the remaining 8 solar panels, on a 30 degree tilt on an east west configuration to maximise solar electricity output in the early mornings and afternoons.
The 4.59kWp Q Cells solar power system was designed with an estimated solar export of 60%, bearing in mind that the customer is planning on installing a battery bank to capture the excess solar energy to use at night.
Based on the 2:5 power consumption ratio, the installed solar power system would generate electricity savings of $1267 per annum.
