Solar Bakery in Glenroy – 13kWp Phono Solar, Schneider
The owner of the Bakery in Glenroy, not only wanted to put solar panels on his bakery, but also wanted to install solar power systems on another 5 of his family members home. No doubt we looked after him on price. The solar installation on the bakery took approximately 60 hours to install. The obstacles on the roof included ventilation and cooling systems, and we had to try to install the panels to minimise shading. All panels where mounted on tilt frames, and we had to make 2 penetrations thru the roof. All roof penetration on tin rooves are capped with a rubber deck tite, which is sealed with tech screws and silicon, making water penetration impossible.
The commercial solar installation was comprised of 52 x Phono Solar 250W poly-crystalline solar panels coupled with a Schneider Conext 20kW 3 phase grid connect inverter. All panels were mount on a 30 degree tilt frame and secured with anodised aluminium framing and stainless steel fixings. The Jager & Benedict DC 1500V breakers and enclosure are capped with aluminium housing to further protect from the elements.
The solar power system is expected to generate approximately 16,914kWh per saving the customer approximatly $5,068 dollar per year. The expected payback of the system is around 3-4 years and makes for a very strong investment. The Solar PV system is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 20.47tonnes per year and the expected saving generated over 25 years should exceed $210,ooo at current rates.
